Millions of puppies are born, taken into homes to later be dumped as disposable items. Dogs can be your best friend, companion and protector. They love you for who you are -unconditionally, but they need love, time and training to be that perfect companion. (Does a child learn Potty training in a few days?).
Thinking of your dog having puppies? How would you feel if one of those pups was later dumped on the side of the road, thrown out of a moving vehicle (yes, that DOES happen), is starved, beaten or spent it's life in a puppy mill? Get the right breed for your lifestyle. Get one from your local shelter or rescue organization or a responsible breeder. There's golden rescue, poodle rescue, dane rescue and any other rescue you can think of.
Would someone who cares for their dogs and puppies not worry about where the puppy went? Would they sell to a "middleman"? Puppy mills sell through the internet, pet stores and newspapers. The deplorable conditions of the dogs and puppies are kept hidden. Dogs are bred continuously until they die or can't breed any more. Make the most money with the least expense in food, care and medical costs... Make those "designer dogs" people crave... Breed mom every cycle until she collapses or the uterus ruptures. Then what happens to the parents of that $300 -$1,000+ pup after they quit producing? Most are killed.

Here we see a common sight on the south side of Cilgwyn mountain - dogs following Shirley Bell around. In this case it's a litter by Baz out of Bet. Happy Birthday Mum!!

This was Joey's first time at this park doing loose leash. He has a reputation of chasing animals, bikes, mopeds, etc. For his first time there he did fine when having that reputation. Sly enjoyed the water. Mickey was off enjoying herself. She will be in later videos.

Hi, I'm Jonty! I'm a 2 year old Beagle/Collie mix gal. I am new to the Big Apple - Rolling Rescue brought me all the way to Bideawee from Tennessee. I have a happy, sweet temperament, and I really adore people and other dogs. Since I had to be tough to protect my puppies and survive, I have some mild resource guarding issues related to food and toys that we can work on with the help of a trainer. I am looking for an active and experienced adult family (kids ages 12+ are okay). Lots of exercise and challenges, even agility classes, are great for my happiness and good behavior! I weigh 30 pounds and I have been working hard at going to the bathroom outside, but I'm not quite there yet. If you can give me a home of my own, I promise to bring joy into your heart and we'll have tons of fun together!

One of the biggest fundraisers of the year, the 2006 Siberian Stroll took place at Rush Creek Conservation District in Harvard. Several people and dogs turned out to help out the Rescue. Dog behaviorist and obedience trainer Jim Ottoson came by with Iglo, his rescued Alaskan Malamute and the 2005 Obedience Champion, to do a seminar and obedience demonstration.
